The rules for using SoHappyPDF’s public tools, accounts, and API. Keep a local copy of any file you still need after processing.

The service
SoHappyPDF provides web PDF tools and a public API. You may use anonymous-allowed tools without an account, subject to Free daily limits. Signing in unlocks history, billing, and API keys. We may change features, limits, and prices; current limits are published on Pricing.
Accounts
You are responsible for the email and password on your account and for any API keys you create. Keep keys secret. Delete a leaked key. We may suspend an account that abuses the service or these terms.
Acceptable use
Do not upload malware, try to break the product, scrape it in a way that harms other users, or use it for unlawful content. You must have the right to process the files you upload. We may refuse or delete jobs that look abusive.
Files expire
Uploads and results are temporary processing assets, not a library. They expire after about two hours. If a download link stops working, process the file again. We are not a backup service.
Plans and Polar
Free and Pro are web plans. API credit packs are billed separately. Checkout and cancellation run through Polar after you sign in. Polar’s portal is where you update cards, download invoices, and cancel. Unused API credits reset at the end of the pack period.
API
The public v1 API uses the same tools as the website. Rate limits and key limits follow your web plan. API credits meter programmatic usage only. Do not put API keys in client-side code.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. If you do not, stop using the service and cancel through Polar.
